Birds and Bees and Flowers and Trees
I enjoy walking through a particular neighborhood where there are "Secret Stairs". These stairs run up and down several areas within the San Diego suburb of La Mesa.
Using a Canon PowerShot SX100, I usually leave the settings on "AUTO" and I almost never try to adjust the settings, until lately. Recently I have been rotating the selecting dial at the back of the camera to dial through all the optional settings. AND I have begun using the MACRO setting, and getting up close and personal with bees and flowers...
Bees are fascinating! Their eyes are very unique, shaped in a way that suggests they are capable of long-range vision.
This bee looks old, a torn wing and its body appears toughened. I know the feeling.
The trees around this area are incredible! Some palm trees grow hundreds of feet high, it seems. The Eucalyptus trees definitely grow that high.
We have to zoom in to the smallest parts of Biology in order to produce the largest results.
Lizards are everywhere around here.
